Christopher and I have been enjoying reading "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever." It's a classic book and he's at just the right age for it. We had to stop several times for lengthy periods so he could stop himself from laughing. The descriptions of those horrible Herdman kids had him in stitches. Of course, the story has a great moral, as well, which Christopher summed up quite nicely. "It just shows how even the meanest people can have their lives changed through the power of the Christmas story." Amen.

I LOVE this book! It ranks among my top Christmas stories and it always makes me cry. Roland used to read it to his middle school class during the pre-holiday doldrums and we listened to a taped version during our trip to Fairbanks. Great choice.
