What's New With Us:
We enjoyed a quiet weekend at home. On Saturday night, Christopher and I had a date to go see a community theater production of "The Wizard of Oz." Cate stayed home with Greg and those two had their own date. Christopher enjoyed feeling like a special big boy and liked the show. The only bummer? At our dinner date, he complained of being cold, and continued to do so throughout the show. We returned to find a 101 degree fever.

That night we switched our clocks back with the rest of America. That used to be my favorite day of the year -- the day we get 25 hours in the day! Since kids, it isn't so much fun. It just means that no matter how late you keep the kids up the night before, they are up early the next morning. Cate was up at 5:00 on Sunday morning ready to start the day. Sunday morning we got about 6 inches of snow, most of it within a pretty amazing 2 hour period of snowfall. Very pretty, very messy.

After his Saturday fever, Christopher seemed fine Sunday, but after a brief snowman making period outside, he came in complaining of being cold and wanting some "alone" time. Those of you who know Christopher know that this is very unusual for him. He doesn't like being alone for anything. He never warmed up and continued to complain about being cold all night. Skipped church to get him to bed early and he seems fine this a.m.

Things to look forward to? Halloween party at Cate's school, trick-or-treating, and Women's Retreat this weekend with Lisa and the women of Trinity Presbyterian.
