Grandma Polly and Papa Stan will be moving to Washington in just a few months. They've been making the most of the time left in state to plan some adventures with the grandkids. This weekend, the girls (Ellianna and Cate) are camping with them. In a few more weekends, we're all going camping together. And last week, Polly took all 5 of the grandkids on a hike to Hatcher's Pass. Yes, she's a brave soul.

You can see that it's not an altogether easy hike. I've been told Cate had some interest in giving up at some point, but decided that she wanted to get to the top of the mountain so that she could touch the cloud up there. Unfortunately, the cloud had moved by the time she got there. By the end, despite her own fatigue, she had taken it upon herself to help push the smallest cousin, Elijah, up the mountain so he wouldn't be left behind. These kinds of adventures have certainly created many good memories for the kids -- of fun times with their cousins as well as their grandparents. They will certainly miss these fun outings when Grandma and Papa are in Clarkston.
