We unfortunately didn't get a ton of pictures this weekend on our outdoor adventure in Portage. The elements didn't encourage us to get out the camera and risk it getting wet. Plus, we were spending much more energy and time trying to stay dry and semi-warm.
Greg did manage to get a few shots of Cate, though, on a nature walk. Portage has some very nice trails along the glaciers. Cate lingered while the rest of us hurried off on a little walking adventure and so when she and Greg ran to catch up with us, they ended up on a different trail. She doesn't appear to be too upset about that, though. Nice photo of the view, though, eh? It's gorgeous -- the water is icy blue from the glacial run-off and there are glaciers every way you look. As soon as we drove onto the road heading into the valley, we could see the giant storm clouds socked in. It was easy to see what the weather forecast was going to be.
The photo of Greg and I is at the Portage Glacier Visitor Center. The Visitor Center was a nice place to let the kids warm up and dry off, and they don't seem to get too tired of the exhibits or the movie, which they must have seen at least 20 times.
