This was the greatest gift my valentine could give me -- a quadruple cappucino with a heart on the top (latte art). Love that man! What else could a girl wish for?
That one hour this morning to receive my heart cappucino was about all we've seen of Greg this week. He's either been in town with very late night meetings or out of town in Juneau. Nonetheless, we managed to make the most out of our 1-hour of being together as a family on Valentine's Day, with cards that Greg picked out for each family member waiting for us on the counter upon waking up. That spurred Christopher into making Valentine's in the middle of breakfast for his family, which was quickly followed up by Cate hijacking Greg to have his help in transcribing her Valentine thoughts. All in all, it was nice to realize that our little family really does love each other -- and not just on Valentine's Day! I explained to Christopher that while we may not have gotten as much time together on Valentine's as we might want, we can still celebrate our love for each other next week -- at Duke's on the beach, and eating shave ice at Haleiwa. Still, it was certainly the nicest hour of the day -- before client deadlines, carpools, and my mad push to ride the elliptical daily at least until I have to put on a bathing suit next week passes!
