Today we celebrated Cate's "special day" at preschool, which happens to correspond with her birthday (actual birthday is Wednesday). Here she is with her 5-year old crown, dressed as a mommy. As a mommy, she folded laundry and then had to go to a meeting because "that's what mommy's do."

I'm thinking our house must really talk about politics more than I thought. After Christopher's "Don Young" name recognition last week, I thought it was just him, but this morning Cate was playing with the doll house at school. There are a wide variety of dolls that go with the dollhouse, including a black man and a blonde woman. According to Cate, they are "Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton..and this doll house is the White House, and they're sharing it." Ah, if only it had been that easy!
