Here is the view of the Acropolis lit up at night from our hotel rooftop pool. Hard to beat that view! The photo of Christopher is in front of the Erechtheum. See the hole in the roof? There is a corresponding hole in the floor. Those two areas were left open to show where Poseidon's trident sprouted water in his gift to Athens. Didn't know that before -- only found out because Christopher asked the question.

The other photos were from a visit to Delphi and the monastery of Osias Louka. The monastery is from the 11th century and is a fine example of a Byzantine church. It was enough to make you wish you were a monk! There are actually still monks working at the monastery - we saw a few of them. There were also beautiful olive groves surrounding the property, and we bought some olive oil made by the brothers. It was fun to see Cate especially enjoying the architecture and mosaics. The rest of the trip she was game to go visit every church we saw.
