- Sunday -- Host Brooke and her 3 kids for the afternoon of playing.
- Tuesday -- Book club at the house. A group of about 7 women drinking wine, eating good food, and discussing the finer points of "Farenheit 451" -- could be worse things.
- Wednesday -- One of Christopher's buddies comes home after school with us so that the boys can play.
- Thursday -- One of my friends from the preschool comes with her little boy for lunch
- Friday -- Bible study at the house. Never know how many might show up -- last time it was over 20 (which if you know our church, you'll understand is an amazing thing -- it was about 95% of the total church!).
- Saturday -- Lie blissfully on the couch and not move??
One cute kid story -- Christopher wanted me to tell him about book club and about the book we would be discussing so I explained the plot line of "Farenheit 451" -- a futuristic look at what could happen when people stop reading books and engaging in critical thinking and bombard themselves with speed and constant stimulation through TV and radio. After I explained the plot to him, Christopher said "is that really the future?" And I replied "No, I think that the author wanted us to think about that as a possibility so that we wouldn't let that happen in real life." After several moments of thinking, he added "We should send that book to George Bush and have every President read that book so that they can help make sure that our country never gets like that." Sometimes the boy amazes me with his ideas.

He truly is an amazing kid. It will be fun to watch him grow up. So glad to hear that your Bible study is going so well.
