Can there be anything more endearing than seeing your husband work all weekend on the "honey do" list? I don't think so. Yesterday he took a load to the dump -- we could probably use one more load, but getting the garbage out of the house was amazing. The other load that needs to go is in the garage so not quite as annoying as the huge boxes of things in the middle of the living room.

He's also been working on the electrical that our electricians haven't completed and is helping out with getting hardware installed on the cabinets. The electricians actually left saying they were "done" while leaving live wires out of outlets without caps. They obviously don't have children. Geesh!

We got a surprise call from one of the contractors we've been trying to get over here to install the hardware and he said he could come first thing this morning and do it for cheaper than previous quotes. Hurray! This guy is one of the main contractors used by Elaine Baker & Associates, the very chic design house in town so he should be good. The only problem was the the screws that came with the hardware weren't long enough, so he couldn't complete the job. He did cut all the holes in the right spots so Greg should be able to finish it. He's going to try to come back and finish the job today but had to get to another job this afternoon.

Tuesday is countertop day and hopefully Wednesday we'll get a kitchen sink. Our main contractor should be here this week to do touch up, finish up sheet rock in the garage, and hopefully move stuff back to their rightful spots (things like getting the dining room table back in the dining room). I have hope that by the end of the week the house will be looking fairly well in order except for some electrical that we will need the electrician for.
