Things I love about my husband
You know, Greg works a lot of hours. It wouldn't be my preference for him to work so many hours, but it is the way life is right now. He says that he fully expects to not work so many hours in the future -- we'll see. It's part of who he is to be a hard-working perfectionist.

That said, I am often amazed at how cheerful he is about it, even though it means getting home tired and late in the evening. I may be tired and grumpy by the time he gets home, but he remains tired but cheerful, and quietly going about doing business that needs accomplishing around the house, whether it is paying bills at midnight or having difficult conversations with subcontractors on the kitchen remodel.

He's currently in Anaheim for the week at a conference for work. He stayed up until 2 am before he left though to make sure all the fire alarms in the house work. We were having troubles with our fire alarms malfunctioning -- beeping incessantly with no fire to cause the alarm. The incessant beeping caused us to just take them down, but Greg didn't want to leave us for the week until the new ones had been installed, just in case. Gotta love that man!
