Cate had a little run-in with the camera (i.e., she knocked it off the desk in the office, causing it to be currently inoperable) so I can't share a photo. But we finally got Christopher outfitted for the wedding in Japan with a new suit. It was a painful day of trying on suits throughout the city of Anchorage. Poor little man inherited a fairly odd shaped body from both sides of the family. He has shorter legs and a longer torso, and is also wide set. That means husky sizes generally work well.

I soon learned that suit sizes aren't the same as jeans sizes, so we were trying on all manner of sizes to figure out where to even begin. Then we'd find a suit jacket that fit, only to find that the matching pants were missing. All the shops we visited had sizes that were mixed in all over the place, so we had to search through every suit to find the right size. Painful.

After trying Burlington and Sears, though, JCPenney came through. We found suits on sale (thanks for an early Easter where the Easter suits are already on sale!), with many sizes. The jacket fit, but the pants were missing so they gave us an even better deal on the jacket and we found some separate pants that work. The whole suit, including tie and shirt was under $40 and it fits with minimal tailoring. HALLELUJAH! We'll get a camera soon that works and post a photo of our dapper young man.
