I've been so thrilled to see Christopher branch out in his reading over the past few weeks. He's been devouring books by many different authors and many different genres. This is new for my boy, who prefers generally to find a series he likes and read them all without experiening the fun of different types of books. It's fun to see him enjoying some different types of books. In the past 2 weeks he's read:

• Another Jack Stalwart, Secret Agent book about a boy who is really a secret agent out to save the world. He travels to various locations with various gadgets to solve the world's problems. Great books for a little boy.

• A Boxcar Children book -- the original.

• A Nate the Great book

• Almost done with "Diary of Wimpy Kid" which has kept him in stitches (and up way too late at night with a flashlight under his covers)

• Almost done with "The Get Rich Quick Club" about a group of kids who spend their summer vacation with various schemes to make a fortune. This is perfect for my kid who wants to set up lemonade stands every other day.
