While the kids were in and out of the pool and jacuzzi during the majority of the family reunion, the adults found other ways to keep themselves busy. There was always a table or two full of people putting together a puzzle, or playing Spinner (a dominoes game), or playing Poker. A great fire pit was part of the complex we rented, so we had a few nights of bonfires in the evening roasting marshmallows. And of course, the porch kept busy with all kinds of people chatting and catching up.
In attendance at the reunion:
- My uncle Pat and his lady friend Linda
- My aunt Jean
- Uncle Pat and Aunt Jean's kids (my cousins) Richard, David, and Carol
- Richard's wife Kim and kids Lacey (age 5) and Sarah (age 2)
- David's wife Cassie and daughter Indigo (age 7)
- Carol's husband Brian, and kids Casey (age 21) and Nathan (age 18) (and Casey's fiancee)
- My mom and dad
- My sister, her husband Troy, and kids Colleen (age 12), Doug (age 15), and Jessica (age 12)
- Me, Christopher, and Cate
My sister located the giant ranch house that we rented in Paso Robles, near Santa Barbara in the middle of the Central California wine country. The ranch was a horse ranch that raised racing thoroughbreads. It had lots of room to spread out in, the fire pit, a large deck (for dancing, probably for weddings), the pool, and the jacuzzi.

Ahhh, outdoor living. It looks blissful! Clear to see which one is Laura. Glad you had fun and glad you're home safe.
