Today was Cate's circus at school. They've had the "big top" up in the classroom for 2 weeks while the kids have been creating costumes, designing face paint makeup, and practicing their routines. They're all 5 year olds so it's nothing terribly difficult, but man was she excited. She's been on countdown mode for the past week. She even asked me to dress up in my "pretty clothes" to come and see the show today. Cate was an acrobat so she did tumbling and balanced on the balance board. Other kids dressed as tigers, elephants, ponies, and strongmen. (Christopher was a strong man when he was in preschool -- the circus has a lengthy and healthy history at RCP. So much so, that Christopher really wanted to be there to watch Cate -- just couldn't bring myself to take him out of school after missing 3 days last week with illness).
