The first day of summer vacation.............
and the kids were begging for bed tonight. Christopher asked if we could forgo the bedtime story (unheard of!) while Cate fell asleep in her bed with "Clifford's Family" still open. The day included a full day of fun with Abigail and Kaes as Lisa took the kids in the a.m. so I could meet a deadline and I took the kids in the p.m. so Lisa could meet a deadline. The kids rode bicycles, had a pet animal show, set up a lemonade stand, set up a tent in the yard, painted themselves in Indian war paint, and did chalk drawings on the driveway. A slightly busy day. So busy I had no time for taking pictures of it. Oh, and Brooke was in town for doctor's appointments and dropped by, so for a while we had 7 children under the age of 7 running around. A fun day for the kids for sure, plus a few deadlines met for the moms. Only down side? Still cleaning up the hurricane. Finished the indoors, now it's outside to pick up the bicycles and camping chairs left out...never know when a rainstorm will hit.
