Here Cate participates in the end-of-the-year program for Rabbit Creek Preschool. Songs on the program included such favorites as the ABC Song, 5 Little Ducks, Alice the Camel, Bringing Home a Baby Bumble Bee, and others. Cate is flanked by school buddies Alice, Dawson, and Rowan.

In a very sweet, but logistically challenging move, Christopher decided that he really wanted to attend Cate's program, which would require him to miss a field trip with his Kindergarten class to a salmon smolt release at Campbell Creek. We tried heartily to talk him into attending the field trip, but he answered, "mom...I just want to be there for Cate to support her. She has come to support me at so many different things that I just want to be there for her."

Well, after that speech, there was no way that we could insist that he stay with his class, even though it meant several additional trips downtown to pick him up and drop him off at school and a previously unintended afternoon volunteering in the Kindergarten class after realizing that the final drop off didn't leave much time to get home and back before the bell.
