On my agenda for the next week -- 3 giant hosting events at the house.
First up, Wednesday evening appetizer good-bye party for one of Greg's employees whose husband is being transferred with the military. 20 people attending -- on a day where I have a full day meeting with clients, so I need to put a menu together with little prep on the day of the party. Menu includes:
Chicken satay (marinate night before and grill)
Onion and Bacon Frittatas (cooked this weekend and reheated Wed)
Meatballs (slow cooker)
7 Layer Dip and Chips (make Tuesday night)
Cheese and Meat Variety Plate (put together Tuesday night)
Fruit Tray (thanks, Costco)
Spring Rolls (thanks, Costco)
Mozarella sticks (thanks, Costco)
Beer, wine, water
Next, Saturday early Christmas dinner with the whole Loudon clan, including Matt, Brooke and kids since they're heading to Fairbanks for Christmas day. On the menu:
Turkey
Stuffing
Yam Casserole
Homemade Dinner Rolls
Mini carrots and baby corn
Lava cakes (for grown ups)
Soy pumpkin pie (for kids)
Finally, Christmas dinner with Greg's folks. On the menu:
Prime rib
Winter salad
Baked potato
Green bean casserole?
Homemade Dinner rolls
Homemade Apple pie
Yes, the kitchen will be getting its full use this week!
