A few weeks ago, Greg and I rented "Mamma Mia." We really enjoyed the music and singing and the joyous storytelling. So many movies are heavy and dark and have an important message -- this did not. It's the movie equivalent of cotton candy. But man, we sang and had fun and smiled (and yes, even did the "sing along version" at the end of the DVD). So, we decided to let the kids watch. They have now fallen in love with Abba. Who would have thunk it? They think Abba is the heighth of cool. We even downloaded Abba Gold onto my itunes. Cate hums "Mamma Mia" while Christopher sings "Super Trouper" (his fav). Ya, there were a few scenes of fast forwarding (mostly for sexual content) but overall it was a pretty fun movie to share with the family. And it makes me want to head to Greece right now!

We have the ABBA Gold CD and the kids listen to it ALL the time. I kid you not, they know all the words. Hadn't thought to let them see the movie, that's a fun idea!

That is too cute! I sang "Dancing Queen" with a friend of mine in my senior recital. Abba is definitely a fun sing-along type group. :)
