Greg comes into contact with some very interesting people through his job. He works with clients, vendors, and insurance companies throughout the nation. Some people, he ends up developing close, friendly working relationships with. One vendor he's developed a close working relationship with has a husband whose job is to be Elton John's personal piano tuner. How cool is that?Well it's very cool any old time, but especially when Elton John is coming to Anchorage and sold out his shows in record-breaking time. The first show sold out in under an hour. A second show was added and sold out even more quickly than the first. It broke records for sales in the State and is considered the biggest name concert to come to Anchorage in over a decade. And guess who just found out we have free tickets? That would be us, thanks to Greg's contact.
They managed to get free tickets for several people in Greg's office, so we'll be in attendance with a few of his co-workers. Plus, the piano tuner gave us his cell phone number and instructions for getting into the stadium before the concert and before they open the doors-- he's planning to meet us to so that we can have a private tour of the stage before the show.
I'm so excited. I own a few Elton John CD's and heard him in concert once before back in my college days. He was amazing -- it was a double-header concert of Elton John and Eric Clapton (how could that not be amazing?). Next on the agenda -- praying that Greg's folks will be available to watch the kids. We could hire a sitter, but with Christopher's asthma flare I'd feel more comfortable and enjoy myself much more knowing they were with grandma and grandpa.

How exciting! Have fun!
Okay, since you've already seen Sir Elton John in concert, maybe you want to give your ticket to me? No? Well, I had to ask. :)
Lisa, you just may get a call if Greg can't get home on time from his trip to California. Seriously, you're first on the list if he can't book an earlier flight home.
