Many things surprised me about the kids in Japan....Christopher chowing down on unagi (eel) for one. Or trying sushi with delight. For Cate, the two most surprising things included her embrace of the bidet toilets (she really and truly liked them) and her love of eating fish on a stick. Yes, fish on a stick, cooked over charcoal flames. Even I wasn't sure about fish on a stick, but Cate took to it with abandon. Go figure.
